Reef Blueprint is 100% U.S.-made in Captiv8 Aquaculture's private, climate-controlled facility.

We are committed to maintaining the lowest possible carbon footprint.  As of January 1, 2025, all packaging components utilized will be of North American origin (only dropper cap assemblies are imported at the present time).  All bottles and inner bags are being transitioned to 100% post-consumer material composition (presently, all outer bags are composed of 100% PCR materials), and all labels are being transitioned to water-resistant, paper-based without laminate coating (labels with laminate coatings may not be able to be recycled in many locations).  Less than 1% of our raw materials, calculated by annual mass requirements, are imported.

All Captiv8 Aquaculture and Reef Blueprint formulations are exclusively the work product of our scientific staff, and are extensively tested and proven in commercial and research coral aquaculture to improve coloration, growth rates, and robustness of corals. 

We do not re-package or re-label products from other manufacturers and sell them under our own brands.

We utilize good manufacturing practices, incorporating a comprehensive quality control protocol, to ensure that errors in production and packaging are avoided.


We utilize clean components (generally exceeding 99.50% purity) to produce highly-concentrated solutions and dry blends, without any artificial colors, preservatives, fillers, or pH-modifiers. 

When possible, we provide formulations as a dry product rather than a solution, to improve value to the user, to provide a cleaner product than when preservation chemistry is used (as it must be in shelf-stable liquid organic solutions and suspensions), and to reduce the carbon footprint associated with the unnecessary transportation of water.

The collective result of proper application of Captiv8 Aquaculture and Reef Blueprint formulations is a cleaner system with noticeably healthier livestock.

Engineered Sea Salt Complete Mixes (Formul8) and Pre-mixes* (Formul8x)

All Formul8 and Formul8x mixes dissolve completely within minutes to yield crystal-clear water with ionic accuracy of >99% between containers, and leave no residue in mixing vessels.  Produced entirely within our private U.S. facility (as with all Captiv8 Aquaculture goods).
